Next weekend I am planning a trip to either the Lakes or Snowdonia depending on the weather forecast. While I have my plans for Snowdonia sorted, unfortunately I don't really know the Lakes very well.
I am looking for a good multipitch mountain route. Coming up from Sheffield so if in the Lakes probably going to be staying in the Ambleside area.
Looking for something with easy climbing (v.diff), doable in the wet (it is December after all), lots of exposure is a plus, and ideally finishing with a peak and a simple walk off in the dark (I'm quite a slow climber).
Also what guide books do people recommend for this sort of thing in the Lakes?

There's a guidebook of scrambles and easy climbs in the lakes which would probably be your best bet.

Middlefell Buttress plus Gimmer Chimney would be a v good route at this time of year.
