Petzl Nao, spare battery.

Hi,

Did anyone tried/managed to by a spare rechargeable battery only?

Accu nao (as petzl calls the charger and a battery) seems to me not necessary and rather expensive.

The accu Nao is battery and casing. You cant use/ charge the battery without the casing so wouldn't be able to swap in and out, so need the unit if you need 2 batteries

I've got a casing already, it comes with the headlamp, all you need to do is to pull the cable out, remove the battery and put a fresh one, or the one you want to charge.

The battery is worth £2to5 at the most, Accu cost £40, Petzl takes the liberty here, I think.

looking at it, you can also just use two triple AAA's so could keep some in a pocket when climbing just in case maybe?
