Well the year is almost over, and with that would any of you care to share the best images that you have taken this year?

UKC Edit - We have official UKC Photo Awards which I will be running in January with prizes so I have renamed the title of this thread.

I have six rolls of film yet to be developed. My best shot is likely to be superwide shot of Arlington Cemetery or a concert photo of Laura Veirs.

I don't have a singular 'best shot' as each have their own stories.

With the shot below i was in Dubai for work and i took a stroll down to Dhow Wharfage and shot this Iranian boatman lost in his prayers before the 72hr return trip home.

So far I might have make do with a digi shot of Arlington, this is one of a set of 31, I had to rotate it a bit which is why there is an odd gap in top left (I did not want to lose the top of the arch). I like the "ghost lady in dress"

The Arlington panoramas have more impact but I don't like the way the shadow direction appears to change (obviously an inherent side effect of stitching pics taken at different rotational orientations)
