Sessional Hours Climbing Coach
Reporting to: Climbing Head Coach
Location: Westway Sports Centre
Salary: £8.55 per hour, plus 12.7% holiday pay; £9.65 per hour, plus 12.7% holiday pay after 60 hours per month
Purpose of the role:
To provide coaching in all aspects of the Westway Climbing Programme. As a Sessional Hours Climbing Coach, you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating customers. You will help people of all ages, backgrounds and experience levels develop their confidence through climbing, and will be responsible for promoting a safe climbing environment for experienced and novice climbers alike.

Knowledge:
Relevant personal climbing experience with up to date knowledge of current climbing best practice. Experience of coaching or teaching others. Knowledge of Health & Safety within a climbing environment
Skills:
Excellent communication skills. Punctual, with effective organization & time management skills.
Competencies:
Ability to deliver high standards of customer service. Ability to stay calm & focused during challenging work situations. Able to work with own initiative with a proactive & flexible attitude. Able to work as part of a team. Enthusiastic about introducing climbing to others.
