Anyone know how the recent snowfall has affected the Cobbler, do you think there were routes in the IV region in nick or is it mostly black at the moment?

Thawing on the West today, it'll be black. Turf wouldn't have been frozen anyway.

I'm at the ice factor twice a week, looking forward to actually getting out and doing something when conditions permit.

Excellent webcam, good image and useful local weather info. Ta for the heids up.

In reply to Cobbler:

I don't mind inclement, it's out of conditions that would be my issue.
I'd argue that blue skie and cobbler winter climbing on the North peak are nearly never coinciding.

If it's of any interest, I walked up Ben Dorain earlier today to stretch the legs. All the rock in coire an dothaidh was black and running with water. There was some wet snow about but turf wasn't frozen anywhere even on top (1079m). There was some precipitation but again, all rain, even on top.
In reply to Cameron94:

Turf free mixed on Schist in Arrochar/Argyll? Do such routes exist?
