Caban in Brynrefail is great for breakfast or lunch. Lovely setting. Great variety to suit your hungryness and time of day from Chinese teas, pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, soup and sanchwiches to homemade curry.

Black Boy inn, they do the best burger in town. Its not cheap but I defy anyone to come out still hungry after one of them (other food is available and it equally as massive). Just don't order a pint of Peroni - I had to take out a loan!

Blas if you want proper sit down meal. Black Boy busy but good pub.

Jakes Bistro just down the road from Blas is excellent food/atmosphere/value but you have to take your own alcohol (shops on the main square). Good fun.

Can highly recommend the Indian restaurant in Llanberis , " Spice of Llanberis " .

Stayed there earlier in the year. Food is very good, but you're right about the pub being busy. Sign that it's doing something right.
