If you're asking about it as a rock (i.e. not winter) route, I went up it with my girlfriend, who is a non-climber, in August, and it was pretty relaxing, even for her.
I'd say that in anything other than summer, though, it'd probably feel a little sketchy to do in boots, as it was fairly dank and greasy even after several days of glorious summer heat.
