A truly godawful miss. The bizarre attempt to mix comedy, spoof, cannibalism and the annihilation of Native American people creates a totally crap experience.

What the makers should have done is go the way of the first Batman movie and created a dark version of the original characters.

I see it was a flop in the US but well received over here. Maybe a cultural thing.

Personally I loved it, plenty of irony and humour, and at least unlike the new Superman movie they kept the original music.

Like Pirates of the Carribean it's more suited as a family film, like most old westerns, than a grown up film like some of the more recent westerns (like Django Unchained).

That was about as exciting as TV was for kids then.
