Passing through Manifold Valley at the w/e and fancy a nosey up at Thors Cave - whats the best access point -from Grindon or Wetton? Any other bits worth it as well?
Also any nice pubs for lunch around there, heading north to manchester afterwards.

Aye, the Manifold inn at Hulme End, it has the original print on the wall from the FA of Kyrie Eleison (Biggest roof climb in the Peak) The photo was used on P203 of the 1975 Nunn Peak guide and was an inspiration in my early climbing days. Take a good headtorch and try to spot the bolts across the roof of the cave. They are there, honest....
