Sorry, but I thought that Dan Osman was crazy but cool.

This guy just looks like an idiot.
In reply to mwr72:

What a complete and utter prick!
In reply to mwr72:

It's a good job he has a tattoo on his belly that says "insane", otherwise I'd have thought that he was perfectly normal.

But seriously, that's got to hurt like hell hasn't it?

Bloody hell! A new benchmark for the concept of 'out there'.

Why? Aside from him spray painting his logo on a boulder?

I don't like to judge people , but if you think that jumping off a huge cliff with hooks through your back is a good way to spend an afternoon you probably need to re evaluate your life ?
Maybe he should sit in a dark room with some classical music playing for a while and come out a changed man .

FTFY. Who are climbers to judge what's a pointless way to spend one's time?

Haha I see you have sneakily edited my original post .
You have a point . Everyone has to have some kind of moderately insane pastime. Otherwise we could all just plug into life support machines and spend our days alive but without emotion or risk .
In reply to SethChili:

Haha, yes sorry, that was my attempt at humour. FTFY = Fixed That For You (i.e. I edited your post).

What do you mean, "why"?

Everything about the video points to him being a grade A bellend!

Don't see it myself, just looks like a group of people enjoying themselves. Think you're the only one looking like a 'bellend' here
In reply to Party Boy:

Cool, I can live with that!
 Bruce Hooker 28 Dec 2013
In reply to Nicholas Livesey:

I don't see why he seems any nuttier than many other performers that do other pointless "firsts"... except perhaps the hooks in the flesh... I don't see the point in that. I suppose he started small and worked up, maybe it doesn't hurt?

I suspect a serious amount of cocaine or other narcotic helps to take the pain away?

Hmmm...Unjustified and uncalled for.

But moving on, I'm surprised that skin can take that sort of force without the hooks tearing out. Repetition and a lot of scar tissue maybe?

Fair play to the lad, a hell of a lot more nerve than I have..!

He's really an Angel and those clamps were fixed to the base of his wings which are invisible.

Very strange individual, kind of made me feel sick seeing those hooks in his back!

Not much makes me squeamish but that did!!

Hehehe. Probably have about a second in which to marvel at his 7 foot penis, before it went 'snap'
In reply to Byronius Maximus:

Oh, is that what FTFY means? I always thought it was "F**k that, F**k you".

It occurs to me that I may have overreacted to one or two posts in the past.....

No need to vandalise the rock at the end.

You should look up the Native American sundance and the youmg warriors custom of suspending themselves by the chest skin to a wooden pole.

It's not my idea of fun but I don't think that this guy is just an idiot. There's clearly a lot of thought, teamwork and rehearsal gone into this, and in that respect it's not that far different from what leading-edge rock-climbers are doing. Just a different kind of craziness.
