I'd like to make an online photo album to which anyone can upload photos and anyone can view if they are sent a link to the site. Any ideas on what would work? Cheers!

Wouldn't whoever wanted to view or add to the photos need to download the dropbox program first?

I set up a photobucket account for exactly the same purpose, you can send links to albums or we just gave the username and password to those we wanted to be able to upload, download or view pictures

No, they could use the web interface. They would need an account or the username and password however.

Flickr might work, but some of what you want is tricky with out either dishing out the password.

Added bonus is when you share also share you dropbox refer code and both people get extra free space

Creating a group on Flickr would work but they would need a Flickr account so an alternative is that you have the account and they send pictures to you to upload - more work for you but possible.
