A woman was badly hurt by a stag near Fort William last night. It sounds to me as though the animal didn’t deliberately attack her but panicked when it was trapped in a confined space. The only real attack I can remember must be over 30 years ago when a walker was attacked by a reindeer on Cairngorm. The animal picked him up and carried him a few hundred yards, it dropped him when he played dead.
I hope this woman is okay, it must have been an awful ordeal.
