Today we went into Coire an t’sneachda and started up Central Gully, before moving across onto the rocky rib to its left for some mixed climbing. We then descended the Goat Track and Climbed Goat Track Gully.

Across the coire there is a mix of really good harder and some newer unconsolidated snow, with some definite weak layers in it, care is needed picking a line down the goat track.

The gullies are surprisingly full of snow dropping the grades a bit, with the rocky corner in Goat Track Gully totally gone! Although generally gear was harder to find, with icy cracks buried under al lot of snow!

Super busy on Mess of Pottage again, with queues on the Message.

In reply to ian stewart:

Pretty much the same story in lochain, did Ewen buttress which was banked out and easy but had no gear. Lots of pockets of slab about, walked out via the goat track and saw u (about half three?) on GT gully. I'd say snecky is in better shape tho, lochain looked to be more plastered, especially on the easier routes with cracks chocked with ice. Lots of parties bailing on tougher stuff due to lack of gear to.
