It seems they are negotiating for a new ferry and want to do it but nothing is cnfirmed. Does anyone know anything more since that thread? I've had a look online but cant find anything.

I have been keeping an eye on this too. It seems to have all gone quiet.

Some Norwegians I talked to in April seemed sure it was just around the corner, but I have seen nowt in the British press for ages.

apparantly they dont have a boat sorted yet (when that was written). I hope its not one of those things that gets talked about all the time but never happens!

I think I saw that article a couple of months ago. Doesn't look good.

I think the safest attitude is to remain skeptically hopeful.
