I'd like to mark this and pay my respects in some way but there appears very little going on that I've seen.

Is there a resource anywhere that lists events? Anyone else doing anything?

I am involved in a project led by our local Community Council which is to create an exhibition of pictures & documents relating to local servicemen & women who served in the Great War. The results will be displayed in the village hall then web archived in a way that future researchers can use them. I think this could be done in most communities.
