Just as well there is http://www.scottishwinter.com/ for the latest news in the recent spate of hard winter routes.
I do get a bit bored with bouldering videos and the like when there is plenty happening on ice and rime!

You mean this http://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/winter.html

Not that there's been much winter south of Scotland.

That's hardly fun to read! There are still people interested in it south of Scotland...

Does anyone else think that the weekly top ascents page should include UK winter climbs at this time of year, I certainly do.

Yep.

I would guess the reason is UKC is based in the far south miles from any winter climbing and most users of UKC are as equally as remote. The internet is no barrier to distance but having the networks is important and Simon Richardson (Scottish Winter site) has those.

Quite often talk of conditions also is at th wall or near to the area and if you are miles from that it's not on your radar.

Scottishwinter.com is such a great site and resource.

Available for next season then?

In reply to Lone Rider:

it could well be because winter climbing contains far too many trigger words for the jerky knee brigade; peg, hook, torque, scratch, that it is just not worth posting news on here

In reply to Lone Rider: you been doing some new routes?

OP Lone Rider 21 Jan 2014
In reply to Erik B:

Not yet Erik, not fit enough as have been busy eating my way through cruise ship sweets in December. Buffets with six different sweet choices are something I cant miss!
Cheers
