Hi All,
The next meeting of the BMC North West Area Committee will be held at the Black Dog pub in Belmont NOT the Belmont Bull
Mon 27th Jan at 7-30pm.

The main topic for discussion is "Bolt Belays in Wilton 1"
During the recent "WiltonFest" there was some informal chat about placing bolt belays above certain routes so as to make them more popular and keep them clean. The bolt belays at the top of supercrack,have turned this route back into the fantastic classic it is.
So would like to formalise climbers opinions and move the debate forward

In reply to astley007: Bolt belays? Excellent and pragmatic idea. I can't wait for the usual suspects to start maligning the idea. Apparently it's still 1985 in certain parts.

It's also time to start thinking again about retro bolting Lester Mill as no one has climbed there since the last thread about this and the place is even worse than it was then. If ever a place needed bolting it's LM.
