Hello

I have flat feet.

How will this affect my skiing?

I've heard it's a common affliction amongst trolls...

Then that is very worrying.

What is the troll obsession on this forum? I understood that trolls were people who posted lots of messages with the sole purpose of annoying others. This doesn't seem to be the case for this post.

It will have either little effect on your skiing but it can make boot fitting a nightmare. I am fortunate enough to not have my flat feet affect me. So the short answer is you'll only know once you start skiing and to avoid potential problems it's probably wise to invest in your own boots if you intend on taking it up permenantly.

I suggest getting some good solid insoles like conformable or superfeet to put in the boots.

It's a perfectly valid question

In answer to the flat feet problem, I have low arches and using a high footbed can make your feet hurt like hell. You need to get custom footbeds fitted to your skiboots.

I'm just curious to know how he's a trainee guide as claimed on his twitter profile?

Don't we all?

Hello highclimber.

That is goodv news to hear.

I was reading about footbeds and insoles in The All Mountain Skier.

I think I do want to take it up permanently.

I had no problems at the DrySlope.

I will look into both of those insoles.

Thanx

In reply to liz j:

Hello.

I thought of that idea when I was reading The All Mountain Skier and I think at Ellis Brigham they can do that for you.
