It depends on what injury/ problem you use it with.
Most evidence says that it lasts from anywhere between 30 minutes to 2days, more than likely it will lose it elasticity after 24hours though.
Is it useful? well it seems to benefit for those 24hours, just don't go wearing it for a week and expect it to be of benefit!
