However , in winter climbing terms it is still a mess of unstable rock with no consolidated snow or frozen turf .

So it's in perfect summer climbing nick then. I suggest taking an ice tool anyway, and some belay stakes.

Ignore the 'gully' (it isn't even steep enough to get a grade) and climb the buttresses either side for some interest.
