Running, well jogging

I've been going to the gym for a while now and have managed to lose over 2 stone so far. Part of that was down to stress more than dieting and exercise. Anyway, I've started jogging on the treadmill at the gym, 1 minute walk, 2 minute jog, for 20 mins. Last week it was the other way around. Any tips to help me not lose my balance and fall off?

Look dead ahead and don't be tempted to look down. Don't hold on either.

I often find I get dizzy once I've stopped running on a treadmill!

failing that, I would probably start running for real in a park or something. I would suggest running on a soft surface to begin with.

I already find a little spot in the bricks and focus on it during the jog phase. It stops me clock watching.
