De Quervains Syndrome?

Hello, I've had this for a week now, over pinshing pulling on plastic. I've been iceing three times a day, any one has any more knowledge on this type of injury and how to speed up the recovery let me know!

I got it in my wrist in 2006, really pain and gradually getting worse for a fortnight. It started improving once i started taking strong anti-inflamms (high dose of diclophenac) and was fixed in about a month i think.

I rested , took ibuprofen and iced. The advice I got was to avoid lifting pans off the hob, picking up heavy bags and pinching plastic climbing holds.
It was very painful at first, took a couple of weeks for things to settle down and then recovered quickly.

I had it for about 6 months and have now made a full recovery

You need to lightly load the tendon and stretch it

Go and see a Physio for the best advice
