If its genuine its very impressive, but is it?
(genuine question don't know much about free diving.

if genuine that dive at 663 feet is only 39 feet of the world record... and he messes about at the bottom.

In reply to James90:

Reading the posts on Vimeo, looks like he dives to a shelf 60-70 foot down, not the bottom at 663 foot.

Anyway, its not about the numbers. The video is very cool and beautiful to watch.

Aye the numbers aren't important - he obviously goes nowhere near the bottom. But the videao is absolutely wonderful.

Blue Straggler will hopefully be along soon to fill us in on the technical details.

From the mans own blog:

"This video is a FICTION and an ARTISTIC PROJECT, I don't claim to have reached the bottom of the hole (202m) without rope and fins, as the world record in no-fins discipline is 95m."

I'm not being critical, BTW. It's a wonderful piece of film and I've watched it many times.
