I saw some North Face Wreck gtx approach shoes last year that I should've bought then, and now I want them the colour (brown with blue and orange trim) for that model been discontinued.

They're lovely - image here.

I've tried ebay, North Face stores and North Face outlets but no joy.

Any ideas for how I can track down a pair of these little beauties (in 10 and 1/2)?

There's a TNF shop in Bicester Village - which is a designer outlet shopping experience! Might be worth a try.

Don't know where you're based, but there's another TNF outlet store at Cheshire Oaks near Ellesmere Port.

In reply to andy healey: Thanks, yeah I tried Bicester and no luck, and will call Cheshire Oaks tomorrow.

A TNF rep I spoke to said the best bet is non-TNF retailers who carry their stock as they will still display the discontinued lines till they sell them.

So it might just be a case of calling every one of the several hundred to see if they have them...

In reply to andy healey: That's a no from Cheshire Oaks as well. If anyone's seen the shoes live in the flesh then feel free to tip me off!

Assuming the colour isn't the most important element to you

available in 10 and 10D (assuming that is a half)

The Wreck Mid GTX and Wreck GTX shoes are still made by The North Face for 2014, so you should be able to find them at plenty of shops or online, probably not in that colour though as that's an old euro style colour up.

Thanks all for taking the time to answer.

Call me shallow but the colour was the most important thing

May well settle for an alternate colour if my quest proves fruitless, but it would be a difficult compromise of functionality over awesome.
