http://www.bikesecure.co/ could be used to check - although this costs and isn't yet up and fully running. The guy is trying to get all police forces to share a database.
Just logging the frame number may help get your bike back IF it is found.
immobilise is a website used to record details and is used by police forces to check stolen items and there is also
http://www.bikeshepherd.org/ too.
I have to say I have never seen the one bike I had since it was taken, although my security is much improved since then.
I also set up alerts on what you have mentioned so if they came up I could look at them to see if they matched.
Good luck getting it back though. Whilst putting your frame number in may not get your bike back it will make it harder for people who are aware that you can use it to check if the bikes stolen or not.
