I seem to remember being told about a fun winter route, in Glencoe if memory serves, which had a full on caving/grovelling pitch behind a giant flake. Does that ring a bell for anyone?

Crypt Route and to a lesser degree West Chimney both on Churchdoor Buttress.

I was told West Chimney was blocked?

I heard that too.

Yes you have to go outside now on West Chimney.

In reply to Alex Buisse:

Many years ago we followed 2 portly gents from Yorkshire up Crypt Route. They had no problem with the through route and I got through on the lead OK. My mate who is a 6 foot bean pole could not squeeze through despite removing all his gear and most of his clothes.

He said he was going to have to sack it and I said 'Just give it one more go' to which he replied 'I already f*cking have given it one more go!'

I rigged an ab and came down the outside of the chimney. He was able to lean out and hook the ropes with his axe from half way up the chimney and get on the ab there.
