Hello all, I'm going away on a years climbing trip round south East Asia and need some advise on which climbing insurance companies are the best. I just wondered if anyone's had any previous experience with this? I've obtained quotes online from a few companies and they range from £700 to £1500 for BMC ( they prices are for me and my wife). I don't necessarily want the cheapest I would like someone I can trust. Any help would be appreciated

Really? Those prices seem ridiculously steep. Unless you're doing some expedition style big walling... Or something particularly risky? If I remember rightly I paid about £150 for a years cover rock climbing in SE Asia with the Bmc

I assume by SE Asia you mean Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and China?

Yes that's right. Thailand, china, loas, Vietnam etc. it's around £150 if your going for a short trip. But it seems a lot more because I'm going for a year. I'm only sport climbing no expeditions.
