Very pleased to hear this image has been commended in this years Sony World Photographic Awards, from 140.000 entries from 166 countries this made the top 50.
Well done Shaun. Great achievement. But have to agree with mark. I was surprised at some on the ones shown on the bbc, one or two looked like they were tourist shots.
Thanks all...I hiked the higher level routes from the Brevent to Lac Blanc got therer to find cloud of obstructing the view of the mountains. Bivy awoken pre dawn to capture the image and thankfully no cloud.

Just had a quick look through the shortlist...yer usual mix of sublime to surely thats a mistake, my Lac Blanc shot was in the low light category.
