Evening all,

Just planning my first winter trip to Aviemore, looking for good snow conditions, a bit fed up of turning up to Wales or the west coast and end up being rained on.

Any recommendations for bunk houses near Aviemore?

What are the must do or great days/ routes in the mountains? ( low grade climbing or great ridges/ summits)

I've read some stuff online but there's nothing like a personal recommendation!

Can't recommend anywhere but coming to Scotland to get away from the rain? Surely that doesn't make much sense. I haven't been able to get out cos its been raining for weeks and it doesn't look like stopping any time soon (unfortunately)

Hopefully you'll find a good spell though

From photos and videos I've seen there appears to be snow in the hills at the moment.

It was the winds that I thought would put an end to the trip. Not a lack of snow!
