Can anyone recommend a good gear shop around the south coast please? Key thing is good fitting advice for walking boots.

I'm based near Southampton but in the last couple of years Pegglers has shut and now Rough Gear in Ringwood appears to be closed, or at least its high street shop is.

Any suggestions?

Good for a daytrip to the shop and the water park,the Cotswold Outdoor shop at south cerney did an excellent boot fitting for my 4 season sportivas a couple of years ago.

If you phone and ask for an appointment with their boot fitting specialist you should walk away happy

Have a weekend in wales or the lakes and go to Joe Brown or the Climbers Shop
