It's turning into a crazy snow season in the Dolomites...the avalanche needle has been stuck at grade 5 for over a week now (first time I've seen grade 5 used in the 20 years I've been here, and apparently the first time Arabba meteo centre have used it since the centre was set up)and still more to come. Roads closed, ski lifts closed, roofs collapsing and the like...
Just heard the Marmolada to Arabba chair lift connection has been taken out of service by an avalanche...
