Hi,

I am driving to Mongolia in the summer and I'm planning on extending my stay in Mongolia and making my way to the Altai Tavan Bogd National Park. However after an online search it seems there is little information about the place. I was just wondering if anyone on here had been and any advice, peaks? routes? transport to and from uglii? I have gathered that i need 2 permits from ulgii tourist office, but apart from that don't have much to go on.

We used a local agent to organise stuff for us, I wouldn't know where to start with sorting out permits independently.

We flew to Olgi and had 4wd transport from there to the road head. It's a couple of easy days walk from there to base camp for the big hills.
