It would tell them anything for a Big Mac !
Seriously though, it doesn't resemble a sniffer dog. It looks like a mutt to me. Thought they used spaniels?

Surely an Afghan hound would be better suited ?

Not seen one for years. Apparently, THE most stupid dog.

In reply to Skol: Think about the poor dog - its sense of smell must be going through hell!

I once got stopped at the border between Spain and France and the police told me they were going to put a sniffer dog in my car (presumably for drugs). It was brilliant, a spaniel, dead friendly, wagging it's tail all through the search, I enjoyed watching it work as I knew I hadn't anything to hide, it was a privelidge to watch it.
Sorry about the spelling

Out of curiosity would you have started a similar thread had it been a person?

No dig intended, I'm just wondering if it's much like when people find it easier to be concerned for the dog rather than those being hunted down in a movie.

Especially if you have peanut butter on your crotch!

My old dog (the one in my profile pic) is a retired sniffer dog. I've asked him what he used to do, but he says if he told me, he'd have to kill me.

Couldn't find the neighbours cat that had sneaked in with the builders and hidden under my bed, mind. Had to winkle it out with the pup!
