Thanks

Doesnt look like theres much near to Peebles. Northumberland would be your best bet kyloe, Back Bowden, Hepburn etc probably within an 1hrs drive.

Can't think of much in the borders myself I'm afraid. Northumberland is great of course, don't neglect Doveholes, there's always Edinburgh and the odd crag on the coast.

Nothing I can think of in Northumberland for 60 miles of bad road. An hour and a half.

I grew up near Peebles and can confirm there is next to no climbing of any worth in the Borders! When I first got in to climbing I explored lots of old quarries and 'crags' that are marked on the OS maps of the area but with no joy at all.

This is about the only crag and to be honest its pretty rubbish... and no bouldering either.

70 odd miles to Northumberland is your best bet. Alien Rock 2 in Edinburgh is about 25 miles away. Hope this helps.
