What are the easiest grade one snow gullies in the Lake District which are suitable for soloing? Must be gullies which come into condition on a regular basis (not ones which get snow now and again)
Thanks

In reply to pillar:

Custs on Great End (beware avalanches)
Left and right parallel gullies Brown Cove Crags (at the far end of the buttresses from the Helvellyn path)
Several grade Is in Red Tarn and Nethermost Coves (beware cornices)
South gully left of Bowfell Buttress (climbers traverse from the Band can be awkward for the inexperienced in icy conditions, best approached from Mickleden below)
Lords Rake Scafell (beware rockfall)

Every one of these makes a great solo with few technical difficulties to overcome, but each (see parentheses) can offer up one or other of the special challenges of the winter environment. Enjoy safely.

Custs on Great End is one but don't go near it just now as it is full of soft snow and had a steep corniced finish on Monday.
There is some hard old snow around but with all the fresh snow that is blowing about atm what is scoured and what is buried under windslab is changing all the time.
If you are new to winter I would be careful starting up something you have not seen the exit of at the moment, you could have a nasty surprise!
