I think the foreshortening by a telephoto lens might be making this look more impressive than it really is. Otherwise, the person in the photos is in for a mighty shock!!!

Yeah I'm sure that's the case to some extent, but still a bloody big swell. I know Chesil Beach was being overtopped by the larger waves and the Cove House got a hammering.

Really hope this doesn't cause them too many problems, there is little better than a pint and soe fresh seafood at the Cove Inn after a day on Portland.

I saw the Blue Fish Cafe has been hit by quite a bit of water as well (again the usual start to my days out on Portland)
