Hi there

odd question but i'm looking for some information on who holds the record for:

youngest team ever?
youngest British team?
and youngest person?

to have climb the north face of the eiger!?

Any information would be great,

I believe john Yates did an ascent at an early age in the 70's ( poss while in 6th form at school??? but I may be bulls****ing) very talented rock climber with many first ascents especially in Staffordshire , also qualified guide.

Well there was a 16 year old German doing it with his dad when I did it (this was 1985) so you'd need to be looking at younger than that.

In reply to Bob: I always thought tom ballard went out to become youngest brit to climb eiger nf at 17yrs old,his mum alison hargreaves was the first british woman to solo the north face indeed while she was 3 months pregnant with tom,a very remarkable lady.

according to that article Tom was 17, but planning to do it a year later, so he would probs be 18. Not sure if he managed/attempted it.
