Anybody skiied the Slovakian Tatras?

Yes, about 5 or 6 years ago.... Krivan was an excellent summit, the biggest peak we did, with a great 30º south face if you like that sort of think. We had a day at a resort too, ?Jasna? that was good and did a few smaller peaks.
We actually had two weeks out there and spent the other one in Poland, mostly around Zakopane. The weather seemed to be better in Slovakia. This was all in early April, no problems at all with snow cover, temperatures etc.

Just finishing a tour in the Slovak tatras. Very good fun despite thin snow cover this year. More like Scotland than the Alps, but with good huts. recommended. The beer is cheap! We used a guide and this is a) not expensive and b) a good idea. I can point you at a guide if you want
