Just returned this morning from short, full-on trip to Rjukan, taking in a mix of good single & multi-pitch routes. We seem to have been lucky with slightly colder weather. Though temps still variable around zero, there was no shortage of routes to climb.
"Hi!" to everyone we met at Old School Hostel - thanks for the up to date advice on routes and conditions. Great atmosphere & evening company, it made our trip!
Friday evening it snowed all the way to Gardermoen but roads were fine. They were busy all night clearing snow while we bivvied in the car! Route 37 south to Kongsberg was open. Feeling a bit tired now!
