Bird Nesting restrictions in Yorkshire
Following recent discussion with the YDNPA I have now updated all the usual crag restrictions for nesting birds in the Yorkshire Limestone region on the BMC's Regional Access Database (RAD). As a general reminder those involving Ravens are in force from 1st Feb to the end of May and those for Peregrine from March to mid July.
The restrictions at Malham (Caveat Wall area), Blue Scar and Langcliffe are similar to previous years and as always could change or be lifted if the birds fail to breed or re-locate. The recent new found popularity of High Stony Bank has the greatest potential for conflict so please respect the Raven ban here which was lifted in early May 2013 so, hopefully just as the crag eventually dries out this year!
