Hi all,

I'm currently getting a warning message pop up telling me that 'this cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iphone'. Now, I know that with the new ios 7 you can only use apple accessories, but the kicker is, this only seems to appear when NOTHING is plugged into the phone. As soon as i plug in a charger it stops appearing.

Now I read around a bit and the main fix seems to be cleaning out the charging port, so I have done this, but no change. I have also done a reset, again no change.

Does anyone have any advice? I'd rather not jail break the phone, but I will if I can't find a cure for this problem (I'm lead to believe that if I jailbreak it then I can disable this error).

Thanks,

H

Take it to an Apple store Genius Bar. They'll fix it or replace, free of charge if it's in warranty.

And why have they changed the SIM cards again.

Bought a 5c in Glasgow last week, thinking I would just stick my sim straight in.

Wrong.

try a shutdown / restart.
Power and home button held down, or some combination thereof
