Expedition 5 months away, and need to build up some fitness by running stairs

But can't seem to find any sets of stairs long enough!

Anyone know any around Newcastle?

My work place doesn'tt!

As a kid running up the "down" escalator at the Haymarket was a good challenge.

In reply to avinash1981: What about the ones from the quayside up to behind the station? They always seemed long (although not himalayan, obvs...).

How about trying to get into 1 of the many high rises and walk up to the top lift down the walk back up again.

any multi storey carparks in newcastle?

used to use the ramps as training when i raced mtb's

(in the evening when the carpark was nearly empty of course)

All very valid responses

I am not sure any of the high rises are very nice....no offence

Multi storey car parks might work

Quayside is where you want to be I think… Or run up the hill on the Town Moor, and walk back down…

Pedestrian Tyne tunnel! long stairs, then slide back down, if it's still possible.

In reply to andy_e:

I think the tunnel is shut for refurb at the moment…

In reply to Snax:

Yes tunnel is shut

Quayside is my best bet
