Icing Injuries

Last night, I tweaked a (tendon?) on the little finger, palm side of my wrist (in line with my ring finger) while open handing a three finger pocket on a steep/horizontal wall. It was painful last night so I iced it as soon as I could. Its still a bit painful today especially when gripping.

My question is, how often should I ice it? Is there a point where you can ice too much and it stops helping?

Thanks

Dan

Dave Macleod's website might be worth consulting - I seem to remember he had a good section about this.

Though there was also a piece in Rock & Ice a while ago questioning the value of any icing at all

I stubbed my toe while decorating the Christmas cake, does that count as an icing injury?
