For a climbing club, does it mean any other climbing club, or just ones with reciprocal rights, or ones you have joint meets with or something else?

In reply to GLUF:

In the CC a kindred club is one which shares reduced hut fees and simplified booking arrangements. The CC has a long-standing kindred club arrangement with the FRCC and various other clubs. Joint meets are also a feature.

So FRCC, Wayfarers and MAM etc http://www.climbers-club.co.uk/cms/huts/reciprocal-rights-huts/ are Kindred Clubs, but what about the Alpine Club? , joint meets with them so you could say it is, but what if you did not have a joint meet with them for a few years, would they cease to be, kindred.
Is it all a bit nebulous and a case of you know one when you see one, or is there a formal definition?
ps This is nothing to do with CC, but it is a good example.

In reply to GLUF:

There isn't a formal definition. It's like saying that you are friends with someone - what that means to you and what it means to someone else can vary a lot!

So it just means that two clubs are friends in some way and maybe have some sort of arrangements or agreements of varied types between them.
