I have booked a cottage for 10 days in Brittany this year with my son 11 and would like to spend a couple of days climbing.

This is the nearest crag from our cottage.

Is there a guidebook for the area?

cheers

You can get the topo as a book from our local tourist information office in Plougasnou. Do bear in mind the tides, if you decide to climb on the island, the average tidal range is almost 8m and the currents are strong.
There's a bar at the beginning of the road and a crêperie a couple of doors down. The municipal camp site on the headland is expensive and somewhat exposed in bad weather, but the location is great.
Penhir is another place worth checking out.
Give me a shout if you want any more info.

Hi

That's fantastic thanks for the info and my printer says thanks too 😊
We don't go out until the beginning of July so if you don't mind I will be in touch nearer the time maybe even meet up for a days climbing?

Cheers

No problem, I live on the hill (Kerhouin), overlooking the harbour, about 10 minutes walk from the headland and I belong to the club responsible for setting all the routes (and producing the topo). I'll probably be in the Italian/French alps in the summer though; when you live by the sea all year, it's nice to head to the mountains for a change!
Happy to provide local knowledge.
The weather is very changeable, but its a beautiful place (do a search for Pointe de Primel-Trégastel).
