Anyone been walking in last day or two around Monadhliath area?

Just looking for any info on snow conditions

Thinking of doing Geal Charn tomorrow

Lots of snow above 500m and looks great for skiing. I drove past yesterday.

probably one of the few occasions when you can justify snow shoes in Scotland...unless there's a good sustained frost to firm up the soft snow

Been on cairngorm today and doubt very much you'd need snowshoes for monadhliath this weekend. Snow is boiler plate, after good freeze last night.

Also saor alba's observation re snow line is correct.

Looks fab everywhere.
