Thinking of getting out this week - Tues or Wed

Weather looks OK but don't know if crags will be grotty, dank, muddy

Contenders - Avon Gorge, Wintours N Wall, Cheddar, Split Rock

Anyone been out recently? Best guesses for which will/won't be in nick?

Thanks

Gorge, especially Sea Walls will be in nick. Goblin Combe as well. Not sure about the rest as haven't been recently or after such heavy rain.

In reply to Owen W-G:

The LH side of split rock is usually ok after a dry day. Might have the occasional muddy pocket or damp crack but nothing unreasonable.

Does that cover Certain Surprise/Video Kills do you reckon?

If I go for a one-dayer, I'll probably head for Avon.
If it is a two dayer, I was hoping to head further west to Cheddar/Split rock

Having climbed at Cheddar a couple of times in the last year on dry days after sustained rain I'd say your options there would be limited.
High crags on the North side are the best bet: Easter Island dries quick, Remnant and Lion Rock might go too. On the South Side areas like Sunnyside Terrace might have some climbable lines by afternoon if the drying conditions are good.
Overall though Goblin, Avon, Wyndcliff and Brean are better options. Have a good one!

Brean! Forgot about that crag. I've yet to visit and there's that 7a - Chepito? - which I've always fancied. Cheers
