I run DofE in a school and have a large number completing both Bronze and Silver. This may stop as county may no longer overseeing the award.

If you run it or are involved with DofE, who has the license so you can run it in your area?

I think scouts, cadets etc each have their own license as an organisation.
In reply to VPJB:

You can become an AAP if you meet the DofE criteria.

Hi Vince

You can become a Licensed Organisation and run it yourself. It costs about £1000 for the yearly license and there is a bit of setting up to do.

We can talk about it next weekend if you like

Our county over see it all but due to budget cuts it may stop. Not sure if my school will pay £1000 and also I'd have to take on the extra admin but only get an hour per fortnight to run it. We have over a hundred participants who pay £15 each, what does that pay for?
