/ Whymper Couloir Trip Report.
Find my trip report and photo's here.
Oh my - nice job Dave, Ross and all. Great photos too.
Enjoyed that, thanks.
Thanks guys. :-)
The Whymper Couloir has thinned out over the years. Gaston Re'buffat's book has a (summer) picture of it with a carpet of deep snow right the way down. Looks a bit sketchy now, especially the last bit just above the schrund.
Rather you than me, Dave. Respect :-)
It's only a couloir when it's got snow in it, Tim. Have a look at it during a typical September: http://www.ukclimbing.com/images/dbpage.html?id=236224
Huh. Ski that! ;-)
