John Porter Book - release date??

Hi does anyone know if John Porter's book about Alex MacIntyre and that generation of climbers is due out at any point soon?

Crikey,- that will be one book that will be bittersweet, for many reasons.

I've often thought of that generation (which was more or less mine as well) as a tragic one - look at the numbers who never made it back.

A generation that seemed to climb itself to extinction. They left a number of great climbs in the Alps, Himalaya etc.

There is an extract from it in the current AC newsletter. It says the book will be published later this year by Vertebrate.
